How to level a 3D welding table on an uneven floor
Use adjustable steel feet
Nearly all professional 3D welding tables come with height-adjustable mounting feet.These let you compensate for uneven floors by turning each foot individually.
Start with the table in its final position
Place the table exactly where you intend to use it.Moving it after leveling will ruin the adjustment.
Use a precision level
Place a high-precision level along the table’s length,width,and diagonals.Adjust each foot until the bubble is centered in both directions.
Level gradually,not all at once
Adjust one foot a little at a time,then recheck.Do not make large sudden adjustments—this can twist the frame.
Check flatness,not just level
After leveling the frame,verify the table surface flatness with a straightedge and feeler gauge or a laser level.
Secure the table if needed
For heavy-duty or robotic use,you can anchor the feet to the floor with bolts.This stops movement and maintains long-term level.
Recheck after loading
Once you start using the table,check level again after the first heavy workload.Settling can cause small changes.
If the floor is very uneven
Add steel shims under the feet for extra support.
Use a rigid steel base frame to spread the load and reduce twisting.
Do not rely on plastic or weak supports—they will compress over time.
